Juan Manuel Caldron Jaimes is the Consul General of Mexico in San Jose, California from November 3, 2017, serving Santa Clara, San Benito, Santa Cruz and Monterey counties. He is a member of the Mexican Foreign Service since 1981 a with the rank of Minister Counselor.
Previously, he serve as Deputy Director General of Consular Administration and Modernization at the Direction General of Consular Services
Graduated in International Relations from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) has participated in several conferences on migration and consular services.
He has worked in the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) as advisor at the former Direction General of Protection and as Director of Consular Affairs.
Troughout his career he has serve at the Consulates of Mexico in Seattle, Washington (Vice Consul); San Bernardino, California (Head Consul); Miami, Florida (Deputy Consul); Chicago, Illinois (Deputy Consul); and Tucson, Arizona (Head Consul); and at the Embassy of Mexico in Venezuela (Head of the Consular Section and Head of Cultural Affairs).
